Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones had planned to score a touchdown against his former team this week and celebrate accordingly. He was denied that — sort of — but still managed to get the last laugh.
Jones was returning to Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Sunday for the first time in his career as a visitor, having left the Packers for the Vikings during the offseason. Ultimately, he did not get to score during the game, but he still had the chance to taunt his former teammates once the game was over.
Jones said he heard from some Packers players about how they denied him the chance to celebrate a touchdown the way he wanted to. His response was to point to the fact that the Vikings had scored a 31-29 win, which was his priority.
