Rob Gronkowski was a heck of a tight end when he played. In fact, there’s a case to be made that he’s one of the best of all time, and he certainly has the Super Bowl rings to prove it.
Gronk also had a bit of a reputation for being a party boy and a little bit of a dumb jock, though. That reputation has followed him into his post-retirement role as an analyst for Fox NFL gamedays, and it won’t be helped now that a clip of an incredible prank the crew played on him is making its rounds around the internet.
Gronk, in his first season on the job, was tricked into thinking that the gameday crew was breaking down a fictional Dallas Cowboys tight end named Rich Russo, who, coincidentally, had two missing fingers.
The result of this prank was epic.
