The Dallas Cowboys seem to be realizing their air attack tends to rely on wide receiver CeeDee Lamb too much.

On Monday at the annual league meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, Cowboys co-owner Stephen Jones said they’re still looking for an “explosive” No. 2 WR, via Tommy Yarrish of the team website. A new mock draft has Dallas filling this hole.

In his latest mock, CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell has the Cowboys taking Texas WR Matthew Golden (5-foot-11, 191 pounds) with pick No. 12.

Golden transferred from Houston to Texas in 2024, quickly cementing himself as one of the Longhorns’ top options in their passing game. In 16 games, he led the team in receiving yards (987) and touchdown catches (nine) and finished second in receptions (58).

The fleet-footed WR flew in the 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, posting the fastest time among WRs (4.29 seconds).
