The Green Bay Packers seemed to confirm with their approach in the NFL Draft that they were not happy with their wide receiver group last season, which led to some questions about how they view Jayden Reed. Those have apparently been answered.
Reed, a second-round pick two years ago, operated as Green Bay’s No. 1 wide receiver last season. It seems like he was concerned after the Packers drafted former Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden in the first round and former TCU wide receiver Savion Williams in the third round last month.
On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Packers GM Brian Gutekunst met with Reed’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, last week to clarify that the team still considers Reed to be its top wideout.
