Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter is juggling offensive and defensive duties at training camp. His schedule sounds overwhelming.

Hunter, the second overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, broke it down during a Sunday interview with NFL Network.

“I came out here on defense, so my first meeting was on offense, and then after that meeting, I went straight to defense,” Hunter said (h/t NFL.com’s Nick Shook). “Got ready for practice, came right out here on defense, special teams, go on offense, and then I’m back on defense for the rest of the team periods, the 7-on-7, and then offense again for the last special teams and then I’m back on defense for the remainder of practice. After we get done with this break, I go in there with the defensive meeting and I go to the offensive meeting for the rest of the day.”

The Jaguars feel loading Hunter’s plate will maximize his impact on both sides of the ball.

“Every moment, every minute that he is in the building, it is accounted for and trying to make sure that we maximize his time, our time so that we can ultimately get the best outcome,” Jaguars rookie head coach Liam Coen said July 23.

This has determined Hunter’s snap count during practices. According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, he has had 83 snaps (36 offense, 47 defense) through the first four sessions.
