Having future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady on your side is an advantage Las Vegas Raiders QB Geno Smith is not taking lightly.
Smith had some battles with Brady during their NFL careers, but it wasn’t long lived. Brady finished with a 4-1 advantage over Smith, but that is OK for the former West Virginia Mountaineer, who’s now leading the Raiders while Brady serves as the team’s minority owner.
“It’s great to not have to compete against him anymore,” Smith told NFL insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network reporter Omar Ruiz. “Just to have a guy like to lean on. I mean, this is the best of the best. When he speaks you listen. He’s done a great job with this organization and so forth. He’s really helping the quarterback; he’s helping me out and he’s a mentor.”
