The Atlanta Falcons could be without a top target for a portion of the regular season.

On July 25, Darnell Mooney suffered an injury that was believed to be significant enough to keep the wide receiver out of practice for a “few weeks” during training camp.

A few weeks later, Mooney has not returned to practice.

Per Josh Kendall of The Athletic, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris provided an update on Mooney to the media before Tuesday’s practice. Morris claimed Mooney is dealing with a “week-to-week” injury before confirming Atlanta would have him back at some point in the regular season.

“Kind of just waiting and rolling,” Morris said. “Kind of a week-to-week basis. I feel good about getting him back healthy and ready to go. When? I don’t know. We’ll have him back healthy this year, though.”
