After missing a handful of games because of a knee injury, Kawhi Leonard was back on the court on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers and helped lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 112-104 win over their rival.

Leonard posted 24 points, five rebounds and four assists, playing fewer minutes than normal as he worked his way back from the recent ailment. The star veteran posted 20 or more points for a 23rd consecutive game, marking the longest streak of his career.

Lakers star Luka Dončić put up 32 points and had Los Angeles within two possessions late, but he couldn’t complete the comeback.

After the win, fans hyped Leonard’s performance in his return.

Leonard is having one of his best seasons in a while this year, putting up 28.2 points and 6.3 boards per game, but it hasn’t exactly led to that much success for the Clippers as they’re sitting in 10th in the West at 20-24.

If Leonard can continue stringing together games like Thursday’s, Los Angeles could be in the playoff mix soon.
