Through the first two quarters of the Super Bowl, defense has been the story.

The Seattle Seahawks haven’t given much to the New England Patriots, allowing just 48 passing yards from quarterback Drake Maye and 34 rushing yards. The Patriots have been effective on defense, too, giving up just 88 passing yards from Sam Darnold and 95 yards on the ground.

Seattle made three field goals but neither team has found the end zone.

At the break, fans praised the two defenses for showing up early.
