The New York Giants wrapped up last season at 4-13, but new head coach John Harbaugh is not wasting time. Free agency brought a wave of new faces, and the front office made sure every move matched what Harbaugh is trying to build.

With a young core already in place with quarterback Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Skattebo, wide receiver Malik Nabers and linebacker Abdul Carter, the franchise has the pieces for a faster rebuild than most teams in its position. General manager Joe Schoen and Harbaugh didn’t have unlimited cap space, but they stretched what they had and came away with 16 additions.

John Harbaugh sends message after Giants additions

Harbaugh joined “Pardon My Take” recently and broke down how the Giants approached the offseason. He was not shy about calling out the shift in mentality. The team is not interested in repeating the cycles of inconsistency that have defined recent years.

When things got tough in the past, the roster crumbled. That is not happening again if Harbaugh has anything to say about it. The focus now is assembling a group that can grind opponents down and keep that intensity all four quarters.

“I’m really excited about the fact that — I think we got a lot for our buck, so to speak,” Harbaugh said. “And these are all guys that are motivated guys, that wanted to be here for the right reasons, that are gonna fit our style of play. We’ll see, but I’m really kind of pleased with these guys. And we’re not done yet.”
