Five-hundred-and-one days after vowing to never tweet until Brandin Podziemski scored 30 points in a game, the “Podziemski’s Gravity” account has been awakened.

The Golden State Warriors guard dropped 30 in a 124-118 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, then told reporters afterward the viral social media account could be activated.

The person in charge of the account was paying attention because they very cleverly used a video from the Christopher Nolan film Tenet to show they were back up.

The account had been dormant since Nov. 25, 2024, after vowing to not post “until Podz scores 30.” It was especially bold because he was coming off a game with no points, then followed it up with seven points the same day that post went out.

Podziemski had never scored 30 in his career at that point, though he did come close on occasion with a 25-point game during his rookie year in 2023-24 and 29 points on Feb. 2, 2025.

It didn’t seem like Podziemski was going to hit the mark for most of Friday’s game. He had six points in the first half and was sitting at 16 through three quarters.

The fourth quarter saw Podziemski, much like the Protagonist in Tenet, spring to life. He put up 14 in 11 minutes, including a free throw with four seconds remaining to set a new career high.

Now that the account is activated, we get to see what’s in store for the account as Podziemski and the Warriors head into the play-in tournament next week.
