Running back Bijan Robinson may be feeling a little envious after the Atlanta Falcons signed two of their other skill players to contract extensions.

The Falcons and tight end Kyle Pitts agreed to a three-year, $54M deal, with $36M guaranteed, on Tuesday, which makes him the third-highest-paid TE in the NFL behind Arizona Cardinals star Trey McBride ($19M) and San Francisco 49ers standout George Kittle ($19.1M). Atlanta already signed wide receiver Drake London to a four-year, $141M contract extension.

Robinson, who has two years remaining on his rookie contract, may be wondering when he’ll get an extension. He shouldn’t have to wait much longer. Signing one-time Pro Bowler Pitts makes it easier for the Falcons to solidify their future with the star RB.

How does Kyle Pitts signing impact Bijan Robinson’s future with the Falcons?

The figures for Pitts’ deal have not yet been added to Over the Cap. But using the site’s projections shows how the TE’s extension creates more financial room for Atlanta.
