The United States Men’s National Team reportedly will have star striker Folarin Balogun available for Monday’s round of 16 World Cup showdown against Belgium after all.
While Balogun was set to be suspended after he was issued a straight red card for a foul during the Americans’ round of 32 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dan Sheldon and Adam Crafton of The Athletic reported Sunday that the red-card ban was suspended.
According to Article 27 of FIFA’s disciplinary code, “the judicial body may decide to fully or partially suspend the implementation of a disciplinary measure.”
