It’s time for John Harbaugh to show that all the hype and buzz were worth it. There are just over two months until the start of the New York Giants‘ regular season, and it’s crunch time.
Harbaugh is already a Super Bowl-winning coach from his lengthy time with the Baltimore Ravens. But now he’s been tasked with turning around a 4-13 team in a matter of months. It’s a tall task, but Harbaugh asked for it when he accepted the gig.
Now, Harbaugh is working with promising quarterback Jaxson Dart and the rest of his roster in the hope of turning this team around. However, things may already be looking up.
John Harbaugh gets glowing marks for offseason moves
Matt Okada of NFL.com is a fan of what Harbaugh has done this offseason. He actually gave Harbaugh, general manager Joe Schoen and the team an “A+” grade and said that they knocked it out of the park with their draft picks. It’s worth noting that in Harbaugh’s contract, he has as much power as Schoen, so the draft was also part of Harbaugh’s job, and he didn’t have to answer to the general manager.
In a feature grading each team for their offseason, Bahns said that the Giants proceeded to “absolutely crush the draft,” picking up Arvell Reese at No. 5, Francis Mauigoa at No. 10, cornerback Colton Hood at No. 37 and wide receiver Malachi Fields at No. 74.
“The G-Men arguably improved in every facet this offseason and are one of my favorite sleeper teams in 2026,” Bahns added.
So, the hype is massive for Harbaugh and the Giants. Now, it’s time to see if that actually translates into wins for New York.
