Thomas didn’t play in 2025, only spending two weeks on the Colts’ practice squad. In 2024, the former Rams sixth-round pick played eight games for the Patriots, including two with significant snaps on offense. After getting waived, he appeared in six games for the Texans to finish out the season. He opted to sign a reserve/futures deal with the 49ers in January, instead of playing in the UFL. Shaw was a late undrafted free agent signing for the Patriots out of Texas.
