Back in March, New York Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor insisted that he thought at the time that second-year pro Jaxson Dart was “going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this upcoming season.”
It appears nothing happened during the Giants’ offseason program to change Eluemunor’s mind regarding his Dart prediction.

During a recent chat with TMZ Sports, Eluemunor repeated that he believes Dart “has what it takes to be the best” quarterback in the league.
“Any head coach in the NFL would want a team with this much young talent, and especially the most important position at quarterback,” Eluemunor explained. “Dart’s a fricking amazing player. I think he’s going to be crazy this year.”
John Harbaugh seemingly agrees with Eluemunor, as Harbaugh has repeatedly made it known since he became the Giants’ new head coach this past winter that he is excited about how Dart will develop over the next couple of years. Dart remains a work in progress, as he must do better to protect himself during games and improve his accuracy.
That said, Dart clearly impressed Eluemunor and others in the locker room from the early days of the offseason program through the end of the team’s mandatory minicamp in June.

“He’s truly determined to turn this franchise around and put this [team] back where he thinks they belong, and we all think they belong,” Eluemunor added about Dart. “Determination can take you a long way in the NFL. …He’s done a great job of taking that next step into that leadership role as such a young guy. And, you know, he’s got the team around him. Now everyone believes in him.”
The Giants went 13-38 from Week 1 of the 2023 season through this past January. Dart has credited Harbaugh for already helping to improve the Giants’ culture, and Eluemunor sounds confident that Big Blue’s QB1 will also be a big part of that process.
“Lights out,” Eluemunor said about what Giants fans can expect from Dart this fall. “Once he’s on the field, he’s going to make something happen and help us win games.”
