Angel Reese had a blunt evaluation of her first-half performance against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

“I mean, I was playing like s–t in the beginning, but it’s a game of runs,” Reese told ESPN’s Holly Rowe. “You gotta put that in your back pocket, just because you know you’ve got teammates that have your back.”

Reese had just seven points on 3-of-10 from the field, but Atlanta still led big at the break. The Dream held an eight-point lead heading into the fourth, but things went downhill from there.

The Fever held them to just nine points in the final quarter, and Indiana eventually forced overtime, where it won 95-91. Reese finished with 15 points, 14 boards and six assists on 5-of-16 from the field. Allisha Gray had 32 points, but that wasn’t enough to get past Clark’s 26 points and nine assists.

The Dream dropped to 21-13 with the loss, while the Fever improved to 23-12.
