The Green Bay Packers are now 1-2 after a 35-14 blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. made his first start of the year, and he finished with 256 yards and a score. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson ran wild, going for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Drake London had nine catches for 194 yards in a dominant performance.
As such, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur found his name in hot seat conversations, and former NFL player Emmanuel Acho laid into the Green Bay coach on his “Speakeasy” show.
“He shouldn’t be on the hot seat. Matt LaFleur should be on no seat. Matt LaFleur has peaked with the Green Bay Packers,” Acho said. “We have not seen this team get better.
“The players are a reflection of their coach,” Acho continued. “The Matt LaFleur experiment, it has come to an end.”
