Jalen Hurts is back at it again.

The NFL’s most prolific purveyor of inspirational aphorisms dropped another banger of a quote following Monday night’s disappointing 27-7 loss against the Chicago Bears.

“I hate it more than anything in this world,” he told reporters regarding losing. “But at the same time, we need it. It’s something that is natural and part of the process of winning. To win, you have to lose. You have to build resilience and character within that, reflecting on that, choosing to learn from it.”

Hurts is right, of course, even if Philly fans get antsy pretty quickly when the team performs poorly (especially after lackluster performances like Monday night’s stinker against a Chicago team fielding Case Keenum, its third-string quarterback).

Rebounding in Week 4 will be no small task, with the Los Angeles Rams coming to Philly. The Eagles and their fans will be hoping Sunday’s performance elicits quotes about winning, not losing.
