Here are Tuesday’s minor moves:
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Cleveland Browns
Dallas Cowboys
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Los Angeles Chargers
Miami Dolphins
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
New York Jets
Seattle Seahawks
The Texans had hoped to bring Wayne back via a practice squad spot, but the Dolphins’ claim-happy stretch will nix that. Wayne will join a rebuilding Miami team, one that has been without wide receiver Caleb Douglas in recent weeks. A former UDFA, Wayne caught four passes for 65 yards this season. Trade pickup Marvin Harrison Jr. took Wayne’s roster spot.
Seattle had designated Charles for return August 30, meaning that move already counted against the defending Super Bowl champions’ activation count. They have seven remaining. Charles, whom the Seahawks acquired via trade from the Jets this offseason, is positioned for his Seattle debut.
Bringing in Audric Estime from the Vikings’ practice squad Monday, the Browns now have Sanders and Dylan Sampson on IR. Estime joins former Broncos teammate Jaleel McLaughlin as Quinshon Judkins’ backups entering Week 6.
The Bills are planning to keep Kendall via a practice squad opportunity, per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, but the defensive back will need to clear waivers first. Kendall played 30 defensive snaps and started as Buffalo’s nickel cornerback in last night’s overtime win, making this a somewhat risky cut.
Unlike Charles, Lambert-Smith is on the standard IR-return path. His activation would count against the Chargers’ in-season total, which sits (via PFR’s IR Return Tracker) at six presently.
