When Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa came in for Michael Penix Jr. in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Kyle Hamilton was celebrating.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey said the safety was excited because he “knew” he was going to get an interception.

“He knew he was gonna get a pick,” Humphrey said. “He literally was like, ‘Oh, he finna throw it to me.’ Like, he was so excited. It was the most excited I’ve probably ever seen Kyle.”

Hamilton was right, as he intercepted Tagovailoa’s second pass of the drive to seal the win for Baltimore.

Tagovailoa threw a career-high 15 interceptions with the Miami Dolphins last season, and so far, his Falcons tenure isn’t off to a great start. He appeared in his first game for Atlanta on Sunday after Penix went down and threw a costly interception.

Whether Tagovailoa will be back on the field next week remains to be seen, but if he gets the nod, he’ll look to make up for the pick on Sunday.
