Kansas City could end up as the biggest winner of Week 15.
The Chiefs could move three games ahead of both the Bills and Steelers in the late-afternoon window if Buffalo falls in Detroit and Pittsburgh drops a game in Philadelphia.
At minimum, the Chiefs will have a two-game advantage atop the AFC. That could be an important cushion to have if Patrick Mahomes has to miss any time. Carson Wentz entered in the fourth quarter on Sunday after Mahomes suffered an ankle injury.
Houston kept its pace ahead of the Colts in the AFC south with a win over the Dolphins.
The Texans can clinch the AFC South title with a Colts loss to the Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
A Denver would create even more separation in the AFC wild-card race. Miami’s loss, and a possible Colts defeat, would essentially end the wild-card hunt.
If Denver wins, it would be three games in front of the Colts, Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals with three games to play.
