Philadelphia will be without Jalen Hurts on Sunday, and backup quarterback Kenny Pickett has been limited with sore ribs. That means little-used quarterback Tanner McKee could be one hard tackle away from winning the NFC East.

McKee has yet to throw a regular-season NFL pass, but he spent three years with Stanford before being drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He threw just seven passes in 2020 but took over for Jack West as the team’s starting quarterback in the second game of 2021.

Three games later, he’d lead the unranked Cardinal to an upset victory against the third-ranked Oregon Ducks, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns with an 87-yard drive to send the game to overtime.
