The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams have ruled the NFC West as of late, claiming the division title in all but one season (2020) since 2017.
San Francisco has won the division four times while Los Angeles has taken it three times, including last season. That run by the Rams ultimately came to an end against the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 divisional round.
Analysts and former players Harry Douglas and Damien Woody were on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Thursday and were asked who they believe will win the NFC West in 2025.
Douglas was short and to the point.
“I like the Rams, and the Rams will be the No. 1 seed in the NFC when it’s all said and done,” he said.
Woody echoed those thoughts and explained why he is buying into the Rams this season.
“When you look at the Rams, there’s a lot of things I like about the Rams,” Woody said. “No. 1, I love their quarterback Matthew Stafford, I love their run game, the offensive line. They’ve probably got the best young defensive front in football. … For me, it’s the Los Angeles Rams.”
