The 2025 NFL regular-season schedule has been released. This year, Dallas will appear in six primetime games and a record four games on Thursdays.

Last year, the Cowboys, Jets and Rams shared the NFL’s sixth-toughest schedule. This year, they’ll face the fifth-toughest lineup, per NFL research.

Here’s what stands out about the schedule:

Circle the date | Sept. 4 at Philadelphia Eagles (Week 1)

If the Cowboys hope to make it to the Super Bowl, they’ll have to get by the defending champions. For the first time since 2011, Dallas went 0-2 against Philadelphia in 2024 while being outscored 75-13.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a 9-4 career record against Philadelphia but missed both matchups with a hamstring injury last season. When asked how close the team was to winning a Super Bowl, as its division rival recently did, Prescott said they’re “very close.”

How close remains to be seen when the Cowboys kick off the 2025 NFL season at Lincoln Financial Field on “Thursday Night Football.”
