Another top NFL Draft prospect revealed that he fell victim to a prank call last Thursday as the NFL continues looking into leaks of draftees’ phone numbers.
Defensive end Abdul Carter also received a prank call at the start of the draft, it was revealed Wednesday. Carter’s agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Carter received a call from someone claiming to be with the Jacksonville Jaguars while they were on the clock at No. 2 overall. The prank caller informed Carter that the Jaguars were planning to take him, though the team ultimately selected Travis Hunter.
“It’s unfortunate that these private numbers are getting to the people making the prank calls,” Rosenhaus said. “Abdul and I knew it was BS and didn’t even tell his family about the call.”
