Denver Broncos second-year quarterback Bo Nix learned invaluable lessons from a future Hall of Famer this offseason.
At the start of training camp in July, Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Nix had sought advice from former New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees. (He played for the coach from 2006-20.) It sounds like they didn’t just chit-chat.
“He was so intentional,” Nix said of Brees in a Wednesday “Scoop City” clip. “A guy like that, I go and hang out with him for a couple of hours, a few days. I would understand if you didn’t want to take the time and you wanted to just get through it. I get it. You’ve got a family. You’ve got a lot. But he had lists of things like, ‘Hey, this is what I think we should do.”
