The Washington Commanders’ training camp is officially underway, and Terry McLaurin is still nowhere to be found.
The former third-round pick hasn’t participated in any of the team’s offseason practices, and it looks like he’s ready to hold out if he doesn’t get a contract extension.
When asked about that, head coach Dan Quin claimed that he wouldn’t lose too much sleep over the situation.
“It’s part of the business of the NFL. I don’t judge it or get too worked up about it,” Quinn said, per David Aldridge.
GM Adam Peters, on the other hand, reaffirmed the team’s desire to have McLaurin there for the long run:
“Obviously, you would like to get these things done quicker than longer but it’s not always going to happen that way,” Peters said. “We’re dealing with a really good player and a really good person…Our goal is to get a long-term deal done.”
