Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni put some pressure on three of his former assistants over the upcoming vote to ban the team’s trademark “tush push” play.
Sirianni playfully called out Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon, Indianapolis Colts coach Shane Steichen, and New Orleans Saints coach Kellen Moore over the upcoming vote by owners regarding the fate of the play. All three of those coaches are former Sirianni assistants, and Sirianni joked that the play had gotten all of them their head coaching jobs.
“We’ll see how it goes,” Sirianni said of the vote. “All I will say about it is Gannon, Steichen and Moore better vote for it. They are in the (head coach) position right now because of that play. So all three, I better have those three votes right there and the Eagles’ vote. I at least know we have four.”
