We’ve made it to the fantasy football playoffs, meaning this is the most important week for owners to lock in their optimal lineups. You can’t afford any bust performances this week, and we have you covered with four players who might flop in the first round.
Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett vs. Houston Texans
Brissett has been a revelation since taking over for Kyler Murray. The veteran QB has scored at least 18 fantasy points in eight straight starts, but that streak likely ends in Week 15.
The Texans are the toughest matchup in the NFL for fantasy quarterbacks. Houston’s defense has given up only 12.5 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs. It also ranks first in the NFL in points allowed per game (16.0), second in completion percentage allowed (57.1 percent) and third in interception rate (3.7 percent). Consider looking for a safer option on the waiver wire.
Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Hampton scored 14.7 PPR points last week in his first game since Week 5, but don’t be fooled by his solid fantasy performance. The rookie RB played only 31 percent of L.A.’s offensive snaps in the game, while Kimani Vidal played 69 percent. Vidal also saw more carries (14) and targets (three) than Hampton.
Hampton is the best running back on this Chargers roster, but he needs time to ramp up from his ankle injury before taking over as the clear RB1. Expect close to a 50/50 split with Vidal against a Chiefs defense that ranks sixth in fantasy points allowed to running backs.
It was a fun first half of the season for Egbuka owners, but the rookie wide receiver’s connection with Baker Mayfield has somehow gotten worse as the year has gone on. Over the last four weeks, Egbuka has reeled in only 14 of his 34 targets and hasn’t surpassed 42 receiving yards in a game.
