Wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Will the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie earn more hardware in 2025?

No player has won Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year. New Jaguars head coach Liam Coen thinks Hunter could be the first.

“I do think it’s possible,” the coach told NFL Media’s Rich Eisen Monday when asked if he could win both awards.

To accomplish this, Hunter would have to play both sides of the ball extensively, which he did with the Colorado Buffaloes. In 2024, the 22-year-old lined up on 1,552 snaps (753 offensive, 776 defensive and 23 special teams), via Pro Football Focus. He finished with 15 touchdown catches and four interceptions in 13 games.

In June, new Jaguars general manager James Gladstone hinted they would let Hunter continue to do this in the NFL. He has kept his word thus far. Through the first nine practices at training camp, the WR/CB has played 197 snaps (109 offensive, 88 defensive), via ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.
