How will the New York Jets replace a four-time MVP like Aaron Rodgers? By drafting the best quarterback prospect in college football, apparently.

Not only does Pro Football Focus rank Miami’s Cam Ward as the top quarterback available in the 2025 NFL Draft, but PFF’s Jordan Plocher believes the Jets will get him in his latest mock draft. That could be a stretch considering teams with earlier picks like the Titans, Giants and Raiders also need a quarterback, but we’ll play along.

Assuming Ward does last until pick No. 7, New York would be getting a player who threw for 6,966 yards and 48 touchdowns in two years with Washington State and set single-season marks for touchdowns (39), yards (4,313) and completion percentage (67.2) with Miami last year.
