Jon Gruden was a legendary head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He helped the Buccaneers win Super Bowl XXXVII when he was only 39 years old. At the time, he was the youngest head coach to ever win the Super Bowl. Since then, that title has gone to Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams.

Nonetheless, Gruden was a huge part of that legendary Tampa Bay team and would become a household name in the sports world based on his many years as one of the voices of “Monday Night Football”.

Gruden took another shot at coaching in 2018 with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, who gave him his first opportunity as a head coach. That ended in scandal in October 2021, though, when he resigned after an investigation uncovered emails that he had sent to then-Washington team president Bruce Allen that used misogynistic and anti-gay language.

The Buccaneers removed him from their Ring of Honor when that happened, but the two sides have since come back together and he’s been officially reinstated.
