Free-agent WR Kadarius Toney was arrested in Georgia last week on charges of allegedly strangling a woman.

Toney, who was a first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2021, was arrested on Feb. 6 in Douglas County, Ga., on one charge of aggravated assault — strangulation, and one charge of obstructing/harassing 911 calls. A judge issued $25K bond for each charge.

TMZ Sports obtained police documents related to the matter and shared more information on the situation.

According to TMZ, Toney allegedly put his hand around a woman’s throat, at a Georgia residence on Jan. 14, and squeezed “with enough force” to prevent her from breathing. The alleged victim was said to have been left with red marks on her neck and petechial hemorrhaging in her eyes.

Toney was also said to have allegedly taken away the woman’s phone, preventing her from calling for help. An arrest warrant for Toney was issued on Jan. 15.
