Lamar Jackson is hoping to reunite with one of his former college teammates, and the Baltimore Ravens quarterback is not exactly keeping that a secret.
Jackson and veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander played together at the University of Louisville for the same three years from 2015-2017. Alexander was recently cut by the Green Bay Packers and is a free agent.
During his media availability on Tuesday, Jackson was asked about the possibility of Baltimore signing Alexander. The two-time NFL MVP got incredibly excited and told Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta to “go get him!”
“Go get him, Eric! I love all our corners, don’t get me wrong. But go get him, Eric!” Jackson said.
Jackson was then asked if he has spoken with Alexander since the two-time Pro Bowl defensive back was released. He admitted that he has been in touch with his former teammate but added that you “never know with Jaire.”
