When the new league year begins next week, Maxx Crosby will be trading in his silver and black for purple and black after the Las Vegas Raiders
agreed to trade him to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round draft picks. It is a big trade that could dramatically shake up the AFC and should help improve a Ravens defense and pass rush that was a major problem during the 2025 season.

On Sunday, Crosby broke his silence following the trade news and delivered a 13-minute video to both Raiders fans and Ravens fans.

Maxx Crosby has words for both Raiders and Ravens fans

Crosby said he had no ill will toward the Raiders organization, while also adding that he felt like he let the team’s loyal fans down by reaching the playoffs only one time.

He also said he plans to retire as a Raider.

“I wanted everything good for the Raiders,” Crosby said. “I bleed silver and black. That will never change, and I’m a Raider for life. I truly want to finish, when it’s all said and done, in a Raiders jersey, whenever that time comes.”

It was not exactly a secret that Crosby was upset about being shut down over the final weeks of the season due to a knee injury that he had played through all season. While nobody with the Raiders would ever admit it, it was almost certainly done in an effort to put the team in a position to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Even though there was frustration on Crosby’s part, the fact that he still plans to retire a Raider shows that bridges were not totally burned between the team and player.
