Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin could have a new job before his longtime team has even started mandatory OTAs.
Television networks and streaming services are expected to pitch Tomlin on working for them in April and May, according to Front Office Sports’ Michael McCarthy.
Tomlin’s contract “could easily reach into eight figures,” McCarthy reported.
NBC is considered the “clear favorite” to sign Tomlin, according to McCarthy, who also named Fox, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix as potential contenders.
Tomlin stepped down from head coaching in January after 19 seasons with the Steelers. McCarthy and Ryan Glasspiegel reported last week that he has since signed with a sports media agency.
