McMillan averaged 1,141 yards and 8.6 touchdowns in three years with Arizona and 87 catches over his last two campaigns. Courtland Sutton led all Broncos receivers with 1,081, but the seven-year veteran is entering the final year of his contract. If he can’t come to terms with Denver, McMillan would fit right in.

RB Omarion Hampton | North Carolina

Fox Sports’ Geoff Schwartz thinks Hampton would fit right in with the Broncos’ backfield, or lack thereof, noting Denver rotated through multiple backs in 2024.

Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin combined for 1,009 yards and five touchdowns last season while Nix finished as the team’s third-leading rusher with 430 yards and four scores, numbers Hampton could have by midseason in head coach Sean Payton’s offense.

Hampton led the ACC with 1,660 yards rushing last season and ran for 3,565 yards and 36 touchdowns in three years with North Carolina. At 6-foot-1 and 221 pounds, he’s 34 pounds heavier than McLaughlin and three inches taller than Williams, who signed with the Cowboys this offseason.

NFL Network’s Lance Zierlein compares Hampton to the Patriots’ Rhamondre Stevenson, calling him a “high-volume battering ram with a three-ingredient recipe of size, strength and aggression.”

If not for Nix’s rushing yardage, Denvers’ rushing attack would have ranked 31st in the NFL last season. All the more reason to bring in Hampton.

RB Ashton Jeanty | Boise State

The 33rd Team’s Ian Valentino must know something we don’t by assigning Jeanty, widely viewed as the best running back in the draft, to the Broncos. Most mock drafts either have the 5-foot-9, 215-pound halfback landing with the Raiders at pick No. 6 or the Cowboys at pick No. 12.

Jeanty led the FBS with 2,497 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2024 and was runner-up to Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter for the Heisman trophy. He didn’t participate in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine but showcased his skills as a receiver at Boise State’s recent Pro Day.

While he made only 23 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown last season, Jeanty finished 2023 with 43 receptions for 569 yards and five scores. Williams had 52 catches for 346 yards and no touchdowns for the Broncos last year, leaving plenty of room for Jeanty to make his mark with Denver.
