Too Low
Zach Allen
Allen remains one of the more underrated defensive linemen in today’s game. After his most productive NFL season in 2024, he finally earned a bit more respect by cracking this list. Nevertheless, he remains too low. Last year, via PFF, Allen ranked No. 1 in sacks amongst all interior defensive linemen, and third in pass rush win rate amongst the same group.
Quinnen Williams
Williams is coming off a somewhat down year compared to his past success. Despite this, he ranked twelfth in sacks amongst all interior defensive linemen, and fifth in pass rush win rate. What’s important to remember with Williams is just how poor the surrounding interior defensive line talent was around him. Javon Kinlaw and Solomon Thomas were far too inconsistent, which allowed offensive lines to double-team Williams often.
Trent McDuffie
McDuffie remains one of the more underrated corners in the NFL. Following a season where he earned an elite 83.1 PFF grade, which ranked third among all corners, he only cracks the list at 81, which seems low. He is known for his elite lockdown coverage and unique versatility to play all over the field, yet his one drawback seems to be the reason why he cannot be moved higher, which is his inability to create turnovers. That said, his pros should outweigh his glaring cons.
Too High
Laremy Tunsil
Tunsil is one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL and deserves to be in the top 100, but not as high as 86. He led all tackles in penalties in 2024 with 19, with some coming at the worst time, single-handedly ruining many promising drives. While his other stats prove he is still an elite tackle talent, it is tough to ignore the 19 negative plays that directly hurt the Texans’ offense last year.
Jerry Jeudy
Jeudy had his best year in the NFL last season, totaling 90 catches for 1,229 receiving yards. Like Tunsil, Jeudy deserves to be in the top 100, but lower than 82. Drake London, who landed at No. 97, put up 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns despite playing in an inconsistent Atlanta offense led by QB Kirk Cousins for most of the year. In a similarly tough situation, London outperformed Jeudy across the board and feels much more deserving of his spot.
With more of the Top 100 set to be released in the coming weeks, these rankings are expected to continue generating a significant amount of buzz.
