The New England Patriots have more salary cap space than any other team in the NFL as free agency quickly approaches, and they are reportedly viewing one position as a priority.
The Patriots have just under $130M in cap space, according to the latest figures from Spotrac. They are the only team in the NFL with more than $100M to spend, which gives them tremendous flexibility.
Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported on Monday that the Patriots are expected to be “aggressive” when the NFL’s legal tampering window begins on March 10. New England has prioritized acquiring a top wide receiver for Drake Maye.
Schultz notes that the Patriots have not ruled out a blockbuster trade, either.
