Russell Wilson signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants, which may cast him into the role of bridge quarterback. He may be fine with that, but he had a fairly blunt response when asked about potential competition.
Wilson was asked during his introductory Zoom conference what his thoughts were regarding the Giants potentially drafting a quarterback at No. 3 overall. The veteran quarterback suggested he was going to focus on what he could control instead.
“Handle yourself first. … Control what you can control. … Lead by example,” Wilson told reporters.
