The Saints signed offensive tackle Josh Ball from the Cowboys’ practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

They placed rookie linebacker Jaylan Ford on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Ball, 26, entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2021. He missed his entire 2021 rookie season with an ankle injury. He appeared in 13 games in 2022, his only NFL action, before missing all of 2023 with a hip injury.

The Cowboys waived him out of the preseason in August but re-signed him to the practice squad.

Ford, 23, joined the Saints as a fifth-round pick this spring. He had an offseason hamstring injury but played 104 snaps on special teams in eight games.

Ford broke his fibula in the loss to the Raiders on Sunday.
