Several top safeties will be available in the 2025 NFL Draft, and it figures the Las Vegas Raiders will be busy adding a safety or two.

After all, the Raiders have a problem on their hands with their free agents in Tre’von Moehrig and Marcus Epps, who was sidelined for most of the season because of an ACL injury he suffered in late September.

It is not guaranteed the Raiders will get Moehrig back since other NFL teams will show interest in him due to his improvement last season. He finished with two interceptions, one sack, 10 pass deflections and two fumble recoveries. It is possible that the Raiders will bring back Epps and restricted free agent Isaiah Pola-Mao.

While the Raiders figure out what to do with in-house talent, they will look at free agency for help. Expect the Raiders to be active in free agency with $92.9 million available in cap space, according to Over the Cap. Here are three players the Raiders could target.

Quandre Diggs l Tennessee Titans

Could Diggs reunite with Raiders head coach Pete Carroll, whom he played for with the Seahawks from 2019-23? While with Seattle, he was named to the Pro Bowl three times. A reunion with Carroll seems hard to pass up considering the money the Raiders have available and the familiarity the two have with each other.

Diggs played eight games last season before it ended because of a Lisfranc fracture. The injury shouldn’t scare the Raiders.

Jevon Holland l Miami Dolphins

Insider Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network doesn’t expect Holland to be given the franchise tag by the Dolphins. That is good news for the rest of the NFL teams needing safety help, including the Raiders. He finished the 2024 season with four pass deflections and one forced fumble.

Just 24, he can provide immediate help for the Raiders. It would make sense for the team to go after Holland because of his size (6-foot-1) and potential.

Marcus Williams l Baltimore Ravens

Williams, 28, had a quiet season largely due to his poor performances in games, and the stats prove that. For the first time in his eight-year career, he didn’t record an interception. He was subsequently benched and didn’t play in the final five games.

Maybe a change of scenery will revitalize Williams. He showed his prowess when he played for the New Orleans Saints, recording 15 interceptions and one pick-six in five seasons.

Williams still has a lot of upside, and the Raiders shouldn’t hesitate in signing him.
