It was going well for the Cowboys until it wasn’t.

Dallas appeared to have made a game-altering (in its favor) play in its 27-20 loss to Cincinnati after blocking Bengals punter Ryan Rehkow’s kick with under two minutes left and the game tied at 20.

But instead of taking over on offense on Cincinnati’s side of the field, Cowboys cornerback Amani Oruwariye committed a massive blunder.

Oruwariye attempted to field the loose ball after it crossed the line of scrimmage but muffed it, allowing the Bengals to pounce on it and regain possession.

Had Oruwariye gotten out of the way, the ball would have been downed, and Dallas would have taken possession between Cincinnati’s 40- and 50-yard line.
