The 2024 season has not gone according to plan for the New York Jets.

Until a second quarter TD run against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the same could be said for the Jets against their division rival the last two years.

This 17-yard TD run from rookie RB Isaiah Davis with 11:56 to play in the first half gave the Jets a 10-9 lead and the team’s first TD in Miami since 2021.

The TD run was the rookie’s first career TD on the ground. It comes a week after Davis scored his first NFL TD with a four-yard reception in the Jets’ Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Jets were shut out 30-0 in Miami last season after an 11-6 loss in Miami the year before.

While the Jets came into Sunday with a 3-9 record and losers of three games in a row, they at least found a way to score in Miami.

A 24-yard field goal from kicker Jason Sanders put the Dolphins (5-7) back in front, 12-10, with 4:56 left in the first half.
