Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL, so it’s surprising the Vikings star hasn’t caught more touchdown passes this season.
Entering Sunday’s home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, Jefferson hadn’t recorded a TD catch since a 31-29 loss to the Detroit Lions on Oct. 20.
Against the Falcons, Jefferson ended the cold spell with 2:01 left in the second quarter. On a 3rd-and-6 at Atlanta’s 12-yard line, Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold fired a high pass to Jefferson, and he secured the TD.
