These three players have been relatively quiet lately, but with players like Bucky Irving, Malik Nabers and Rachaad White sitting home on byes, any one of them could carry your roster in Week 11.
1. Gus Edwards RB, Los Angeles Chargers (rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues)
Edwards had 10 carries for a team-high 55 yards in the Chargers’ win against the Titans after missing the previous four games with an ankle injury. Only J.K. Dobbins had more attempts but neither found the end zone as little-used running back Hassan Haskins converted a goal-line carry for a TD.
Ordinarily, that carry would have gone to Edwards but the team chose to be cautious in his first game back since late September. At 6-foot-1 and 238 pounds, Edwards is no stranger to goal line work. His 13 touchdowns in 2023 were fifth-most in the league, tied with Lions running back David Montgomery.
It’s worth noting that rookie running back Kimani Vidal was inactive for Sunday’s game with Edwards back on the field. Dobbins has been uncharacteristically healthy this year but if he should miss any time, Edwards would see the bulk of the carries.
2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, New Orleans Saints (rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues)
Had Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase not caught 11 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns, Valdes-Scantling would have led all NFL receivers with 25.90 fantasy points in Week 10. Chase scored 55.40 fantasy points but he’s slightly less available (100% rostered) than Valdes-Scantling these days.
