The 2025 NFL Draft is coming up, and fans will have their attention on the scouting combine in Indianapolis this week to see which prospects could turn their favorite teams around.

In the first round, a quarterback is typically desired very early on in order to reboot a struggling franchise. This year, only two college passers are considered worthy of being picked that high.

Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward will be on the radar of teams with the top five picks but whether either of them will be worth the investment is yet to be seen.

In fact, picking a quarterback in the draft at all seems to be a gamble in recent years.

Only two quarterbacks drafted since 2013 have gone on to win the Super Bowl: The Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.

Three others have played in the big game: Jimmy Garoppolo, Joe Burrow and Brock Purdy.

So will teams like the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns or New York Giants take the risk of Ward or Sanders being their ticket back to a championship?
