The Philadelphia Eagles’ ‘tush push’ is one of the most unstoppable plays in the NFL. They successfully pulled off another one on Sunday afternoon in the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders when quarterback Jalen Hurts scored a touchdown from one yard out.
But there was nothing routine about this particular version of it.
It quickly devolved into chaos.
With the Commanders trailing by 11 points in the fourth quarter and desperate to make a goal-line stand, they kept trying to time the snap count in an effort to stuff Hurts.
It failed embarrassingly and resulted in referee Shawn Hochuli threatening to award a score for the Eagles before they finally pushed it across for a touchdown.
