Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels had one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in NFL history, and was rewarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Washington hadn’t been to the playoffs since Alex Smith was under center in the 2020-21 season, losing in the Wild Card round. Between their last playoff appearance and drafting Jayden Daniels fourth-overall in the 2024 NFL draft, Washington started five different quarterbacks and went a combined 19-31-1.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. One season in and Daniels rewarded the Commanders with a 12-win season and NFC Championship Game berth, while setting a rookie quarterback rushing record with 891 yards and becoming just the fourth rookie to win a road playoff game.
